General Maths (NSW)
I have used FileMaker Pro to create a multiple choice quiz which covers all the topics in the General Maths course. I have put the database through the FileMaker Pro Binder which means that you can use the database without having Filemaker Pro on your own computer. Just download the PC or Mac version below.
The database contains over 400 questions. I have found that when using multiple choice questions for revision, many students want to simply correct their work, find their score and move on. They are often not interested in looking at where they went wrong because it was too long ago. With this computerised test they get immediate response and are generally much more prepared to ask questions because the problem is still fresh in their minds.
You can choose to be tested on any topic or combination of topics, and the program keeps score for you. It can be used as a class test after they have had a chance to practice it. They may practice at school or have their own copy of the test at home to practice on.
If you install the program on a network at your school, students will have to move it to their own computers to make it run. Don't try to run it from its location on the network.
